How to Install Ka-Naada language pack on Ubuntu?

Download Ka-Naada input language pack - http://ka-naada.in/downloads/linux/

open terminal in downloaded folder and type the following command

$sudo cp ka-naada /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/kanaada


open folder /usr/share/X11/xkb/rules
open terminal in rules folder and type the following command

$sudo gedit evdev.xml


Search for <layoutList>
paste this inside layoutList

<layout>
<configItem>
<name>kanaada</name>
<shortDescription>kanaada</shortDescription>
<description>ka-naada layouts</description>
</configItem>
<variantList>
<variant>
<configItem>
<name>kan-naada</name>
<description>ka-naada kannada layout</description>
<languageList>
<iso639Id>kan</iso639Id>
</languageList>
</configItem>
</variant>
</variantList>
<variantList>
<variant>
<configItem>
<name>hi-naada</name>
<description>ka-naada Hindi layout</description>
<languageList>
<iso639Id>hin</iso639Id>
</languageList>
</configItem>
</variant>
</variantList>
</layout>
